Warframe Confirms When It Is Finally Coming to the Nintendo Switch 2

Warframe has officially announced its release date on Nintendo Switch 2. Developed and published by Digital Extremes, the free-to-play online multiplayer shooter will celebrate 13 years since its debut on PC in March this year. By 2019, Warframe had nearly 50 million registered players and continued its growth by debuting on new platforms and consoles. Players' continued interest in this title has also led to the creation of a convention dedicated to it, TennoCon, where upcoming features and updates to the game have been announced for almost 10 years.

Over the years, Warframe has received major updates that introduced various features to the game and expanded its story. These included additional missions, limited-time and seasonal events, and new gameplay modes, accompanied by regular additions of new Warframes and weapons. The latest expansion, The Old Peace, was released in December last year and added a new cinematic quest along with smaller elements that enhance the players' experience. However, even then, Digital Extremes pointed out that the update was only part of its plans for the further development of Warframe in the near future, and that fans could expect more exciting announcements in 2026.
