A new leak from Overwatch is teasing a major collaboration with the Nier franchise coming soon, featuring skins based on Nier: Automata's main cast. The competitive hero shooter from Blizzard has seen some big changes throughout the past month, launching one of its biggest rebrands in years. Overwatch officially dropped the "2" from its name in early February, confirming that Blizzard is starting a full-scale relaunch of the game with a brand-new Season 1 and adding five new heroes to the roster. Overwatch may now be gearing up for a big new collaboration.
Since the sequel re-launched as Overwatch 2 in late 2022, the shooter has seen multiple collaborations with popular games and media properties. 2025 welcomed several big crossovers for Overwatch, adding new skins based on Street Fighter 6, Gundam Wing, and G.I. Joe throughout the year. The shooter has already welcomed multiple new crossovers since its relaunch as well, including a Hello Kitty event and a China-exclusive collaboration with Naraka: Bladepoint. Now, the popular Nier franchise looks to be next for Overwatch, with Blizzard accidentally leaking the collab.
