The Last of Us really did have the stealth action genre locked down for a while back there, with Naughty Dog's epic duology showing just how cinematic and tense games could be as a medium.
Given that all their focus is now on the release of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and will be for some time, it's doubtful that we'll get any new adventures in the zombie-riddled post-apocalypse any time soon.
Fortunately, there are lots of great developers out there who are driving towards a similar goal, and one upcoming game really does look like it has all the ingredients to blow the genre wide open once again.
