PSA: Don't Worry About The Infamous Roar Bug in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen on Switch

While Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen are mostly simple ports to Nintendo's beloved Switch consoles, several simple changes have been made to the games—including the infamous Roar bug. For example, Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen players unlock the necessary tickets to catch Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Deoxys upon defeating the Elite Four and entering the Hall of Fame.

Such changes have only been made to the player's benefit, at that. It would make some sense for Game Freak to patch the Nugget exploit in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, which can make the players extremely rich with just a little bit of repeat grinding, but the company did not. It still works on Nintendo Switch, truly making these the ultimate ways to play the classic games. Of course, some fans going into Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen were concerned about the Roar bug, but they don't have to be.

An old glitch from the original Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen games still works in the Nintendo Switch versions.

No doubt, several newcomers have heard about the Roar bug, as many veterans have bemoaned it at every turn. Essentially, after meeting certain conditions, players have a chance at catching either Entei or Raikou in the endgame...
