The 30th Anniversary Pokémon celebrations turned out to be just as exciting as fans had hoped, with the big reveal undoubtedly being details around Generation X, with the upcoming games titled Pokémon Winds & Waves.
Now given that we have all known about Pokémon Winds & Waves for a while now, thanks to the massive data breach at Game Freak in 2024, the big reveal was mostly about getting confirmation of the finer details.
One major part of that was the reveal of the three new starter 'mons, in Browt, Pombon and Gecqua. The first look was meant with near-unanimous approval, with most agreeing that all three were pretty adorable, all things considered. That said, we didn't get a look at what comes next, and it's there that the true fate of the starters lies.
As we've already mentioned, the response to the original reveal of the starters was very positive, with the baby version of these creatures more than cute enough to pass initial grading from fans.
