Stardew Valley is getting a ton of new content this month, and we're not talking about the 1.7 update. The life sim recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, revealing a massive update (including two new marriage candidates), release date TBD. But while we wait for that, the Stardew Valley fandom is doing its part to keep the game fresh and interesting even a decade after release.
To that end, Nexus Mods is holding a Stardew Valley Modfest event to celebrate "a decade in the valley." Fans can upload Stardew mods, join different teams, and participate in special events to celebrate its anniversary. There are also prizes in store for the Modfest uploads with the most endorsements and downloads.
Nexus Mods' Stardew Valley Modfest runs from now until March 26. If you're a mod creator, then all you have to do to participate is upload a new mod before the end of the event; Nexus links to a ton of handy tutorials if you're just starting out. Anyone who uploads during the Modfest will receive an exclusive Stardew Valley Modfest profile badge.
