Battlefield V Reddit moderators are now closing threads about "historical accuracy" in the game due to what PCGamesN calls "agenda-driven brigading". This is, in effect, users in the "brigade" creating multiple topics on the same subject to dominate the conversation on the Reddit. Often members of the brigade come from outside the existing community and join simply to push an agenda.
The announcement was made in this Reddit thread: "We're done, it's over. New rule: No more bitching about historical accuracy, it's a game not a history book. Violations will have consequences. Sadly, this subreddit has proven to be unable to have a civil discussion about these things without devolving into name calling and slap fights."
Much of the discussion is centered on the inclusion of female playable characters as well as the same character's prosthetic hand and lower arm, hence, posters believe, making the game historically inaccurate.
