Resident Evil Requiem, also known as Resident Evil 9, has shocked the world with its high standard of quality, while offering a single-player experience in an era of live-service avalanches. But naturally, it will likely have some form of DLC, even if it's not announced yet.
Over on Reddit, fans are talking about a recent leak from reliable Resident Evil info purveyor Dusk Golem, and it looks like this particular unannounced DLC could be a huge hit.
According to Dusk Golem, there is a Resident Evil 9 DLC "late in development," which isn't something new, as DLC has existed steadily for RE games since the fifth entry. Apparently, the DLC was created to "help space out the release between" multiple games, including the rumored Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero remakes.
Timelines have allegedly shifted, so the DLC for RE9 could come sooner than we think. However, it won't be featuring a playable Alyssa, who was potentially a star in a previous iteration behind the scenes. Now the primary rumor is that it stars Leon, and Dusk Golem notes that this could feature "cut content really late in development featuring Leon."
