The original Resident Evil 2 earned widespread critical acclaim and is considered by many to be one of the best survival-horror games of all time. The Resident Evil 2 remake, released over 20 years after the original, is similarly praised as a masterpiece of its genre.
Considering how popular Resident Evil 2 is, it's really no surprise how often Capcom goes back to the game's locations and characters. In fact, the recently released Resident Evil Requiem is all about RE2 nostalgia, with Leon S. Kennedy and Sherry Birkin both in the game, and Leon actually making his way back to the infamous Raccoon City Police Department.
