The announcement of Pokémon Winds & Waves has been a real boost in morale for fans of the franchise, which had felt like it had been listing over the last few releases.
Revealed as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations, we got a great look at what the final game is going to be like, without the developer actually being specific about a lot of the detail. The new starters look great and an adorable re-imagining of the classic typing formula, with some very clear real world influences from the animal kingdom.
We also got to see the water-focused world Game Freak has created this time around, and it looks very different from anything we've had to date.
