Code Vein 2 recently received an update that makes gameplay easier. Developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game is the sequel to the action RPG Code Vein released in 2019. Code Vein 2 was announced during the main show at Summer Game Fest in June 2025, and it premiered at the end of January 2026. Since its launch, the game has received mixed reviews from critics and players, scoring around 60% positive reviews on Steam.

Code Vein 2 is a Soulslike action role-playing title with an anime aesthetic and gameplay inspired by the Dark Souls video game series. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the game draws on solutions present in the original Code Vein, but expands on them by introducing refined companion characters, advanced customization options, and improved boss battles, both in terms of presentation and difficulty. Gamers also have the option of receiving support from AI-controlled companions during combat, but removing them from the battlefield comes with additional bonuses and skills.
