Overwatch Just Gave Players Even More Reasons to Log In Throughout March

Overwatch just announced that every weekend in March will be a Double Match XP weekend to celebrate the game's ongoing success. Now, Overwatch fans have even more incentive to log into the hero shooter, as if Reign of Talon Season 1 wasn't enough.

February 10 marked a new era for Future Earth. The soft relaunch of Overwatch, now without the "2" in its title, included five new heroes, a refreshed UI, and the first segment of its new year-long seasonal story. The season was a huge hit, with Overwatch breaking player records on both Steam and Twitch during its opening weeks.

While Overwatch’s healing angel hasn’t been a viable choice in competitive modes for some time now, she’s about to get a much-needed buff.

Overwatch is celebrating this success all March long. According to a new post on Twitter, Blizzard has begun a special “Player Appreciation Boost,” granting Double Match XP every single weekend throughout the month of March:
