Both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were spectacular entries in The Legend of Zelda series, revolutionizing the formula and thrusting the franchise forward significantly.
They showed just how good the game could be with a living open world and some new mechanics designed to let players explore it freely. At the same time, they did a great job of making it lovely to look at, despite the potential limitations of the hardware, and it quickly became a place where players could lose hundreds of hours without doing very much at all.
Despite all of that time traversing the world, it might not have occurred to most that it can be explored from a whole new perspective, and oh boy, does it look incredible.
