The likelihood that a seemingly inevitable Hogwarts Legacy sequel could launch in the same release window as HBO’s Harry Potter show is now tremendously high following a recent announcement about what gamers can expect in the next couple of years. Indeed, with this Harry Potter series supposedly eyeing an early 2027 premiere, it’s incredibly likely that Hogwarts Legacy 2—or whatever the sequel’s official title will be—is hoping to meet that window itself.
Per Variety, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO and President of Global Streaming and Games JB Perrette recently stated that “the real fruits would start coming in in ’27–’28 when we return to some of our biggest franchises.” So, perhaps we just got a tease that Hogwarts Legacy 2 and the upcoming Harry Potter show will be released alongside one another.
