As Another PlayStation Era Comes To An End, Gamers Share Their Mixed Feelings

Earlier this week saw Sony announce that it would no longer be releasing PlayStation games on the PC, meaning that anticipated titles such as Marvel's Wolverine and Sauros will remain a PlayStation exclusive. Over the years, exclusives have pretty much not meant exclusive, with titles often releasing on both console and PC simultaneously. However, it seems as though Sony is set to combat this by locking its upcoming exclusives to PlayStation 5, and later PlayStation 6, only.

According to a report by Bloomberg, online games such as Marathon and Marvel Tokon will still launch on multiple platforms, but it is PlayStation's single-player games which will be locked behind exclusivity from now on. It was also revealed that Ghost of Yōtei, which launched on the PlayStation 5 back in October 2025, had plans to come to PC before it was "scrapped in recent weeks." However, according to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, Sony's plans could change in the future due to the unpredictability of the gaming industry over recent years.
