The Animal Crossing saga is something of a sore subject for Nintendo fans. Despite its latest entry, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, releasing in 2020 and acting as the perfect bridge for friends during the COVID-19 pandemic, its lack of meaningful updates since has caused quite a bit of frustration. On top of that, Animal Crossing: New Horizons recently celebrated its 6th anniversary, and despite Nintendo releasing a major update for it back in January, news of the next installment is non-existent.

However, fans are here to save the day once again by turning one previous, and often hated, Animal Crossing installment into the best of all time.

According to one user over on r/AnimalCrossing, it is Animal Crossing: City Folk Deluxe that should be considered "the best AC game."
