The weekend may be over, but that does not mean that it is too late to dive into another hit gaming experience. Although many of us are probably racking up the hours in Pokopia or maybe even finishing up that pesky Resident Evil Requiem speedrun, time can still be given to some underrated gems that have been added to Steam in recent days.
Better yet? All eight games that I am going to talk about today are completely free to play. Not demos, or limited-time events, but free to download and play whenever the mood takes you. So whether you are looking for a boomer shooter, a TCG, or even a Metroidvania, this list is guaranteed to have something to suit you.
First up is Chapel 3-D: The Ascent, a "break-neck, violent boomer shooter inspired by the classics of the genre." With unlimited power at your fingertips, you will slowly transform from a meek human into a fire-breathing monster as you use interdimensional portals in order to transport yourself across various different worlds. By throwing your heart, you will be able to teleport to it, and I don't know about you, but that sounds cool as hell....
