Resident Evil Requiem is getting a story expansion, a new minigame, and photo mode

If you’re one of the many people who play Capcom’s latest masterpiece, Resident Evil Requiem, and was worried that the ride was over, you’re in luck. Earlier today, Koshi Nakanishi, the director for Resident Evil Requiem, has revealed via the official Resident Evil Twitter account that more content is on the way.

What sort of content you ask? Well, not only is it getting an additional story, but Capcom is also going to be added a photo mode, because it knows that the gaming community is obsessed with taking photos in-game. There will also be a new mini-game of sorts that should be released around May 2026.

According to Koshi Nakanishi, Capcom is hard at work on the new updates, so fans of the game will need to sit tight until Capcom is ready to share more information about it all.

Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem is one of the best games of the entire franchise, with fans arguing at what place the game should be placed at. For me, this is easily top 3 and only goes to show that Capcom hasn’t lost its touch when it comes to its flagship horror title.
