2026's First LEGO Super Mario Set Costs a Pretty Penny

A new LEGO set featuring Luigi in a quintessential Mario Kart 8 vehicle is now official, complete with a steep $169.99 price tag. The model marks the first addition to LEGO's Super Mario theme since spring 2025, pushing the lineup further into collector-focused, premium display territory.

LEGO originally launched its Super Mario line in July 2020. Since then, the product range has grown well beyond its original interactive playsets to include various character and "Power-Up" packs, as well as display-dedicated designs catering to collectors. The most recent wave of LEGO Super Mario sets was unveiled in May 2025 and hit the store shelves three months later.

At least one of the upcoming LEGO Pokemon sets targeting a 2026 release is reportedly going to include minifigures, though some questions remain.
