Resident Evil Requiem hasn't even been out for two weeks, but plenty of fans are already eager for more. Resident Evil narratives are rarely especially long, and now that many players have reached the credits, they're itching for the story to continue. Luckily, the director of Resident Evil Requiem has some good news.
Resident Evil Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi revealed that a story expansion is officially in development for the game, as shared on the official Resident Evil X account. In the same video, he shared that a photo mode will be coming soon, and a mini-game is set to arrive in a May update. The story expansion, meanwhile, "will take some time."
So far, there are no details as to what to expect from the story update, but Nakanishi appears to be thoroughly aware of some fan hopes. Before revealing the expansion's development, he flips through a few gag sheets of paper, the first of which focuses on the mysterious wedding suggested by Leon S. Kennedy's ring in Requiem. Another shows a version of Resident Evil 7's card game DLC featuring Requiem's Victor Gideon.
It doesn't seem like the DLC will actually focus on Leon's wedding, but...
