CONTROL Resonant Launches in 2026 With NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing Support

Remedy Entertainment dropped some big news at GDC 2026 today: CONTROL Resonant is coming in 2026, and it’s going all-in on NVIDIA’s latest RTX tech stack.

The sequel will launch with full DLSS 4.5 support, path-traced rendering, RTX Mega Geometry, and DLSS Ray Reconstruction. If you remember how jaw-dropping the original Control looked with ray tracing enabled, Remedy is clearly swinging for the fences again here.

On the technical side, Tatu Aalto, Technical Director of Graphics at Remedy, had this to say about the implementation, “DLSS 4.5 and Ray Reconstruction are giving players outstanding image quality alongside the performance headroom to actually enjoy the experience. Path-traced lighting, combined with RTX Mega Geometry, is how they’re pushing the dense world detail of CONTROL Resonant to the next level”.
