Whilst Rockstar works on bringing Grand Theft Auto VI to the world, its Red Dead franchise has taken something of a backseat in the meantime. Despite also featuring an online component with Red Dead Online, it has not received the same support as Grand Theft Auto Online over the years, and with no confirmation of a potential Red Dead Redemption 3, fans are feeling disheartened.
However, it is not all doom and gloom as Rockstar has unveiled some official content for Red Dead Redemption, allowing players to see even more of their beloved John Marston.
Without any word of warning, Rockstar has announced an update to Red Dead Redemption in recent days. Released for the mobile version of the game, the update introduces a new setting, quality-of-life improvements and various bugs and glitches that have been discovered since its launch back in December 2025. Additionally, this update rolls out for all Red Dead Redemption mobile versions, whether you bought it outright, or access it via a Netflix subscription.
