Halo 7 Release Window Has Fans Split As Halo's 25th Anniversary Looms

Regardless of how things have been going over the last few releases, the Halo franchise is still easily one of the most iconic in video game history, and it deserves its position there, if only for the games up to and including Halo: Reach.

The future of the series is very much up in the air right now, and we don't really know what the developer's plans are, beyond the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of the single-player elements of the 2001 release that started it all.

For fans of the franchise, the release of the next mainline game in the series is the big one, and absolutely crucial if it's to continue in any meaningful capacity. Part of that will be announcing and releasing it at just the right time, and fans are split on what exactly the right approach would be.
