While we wait for The Witcher 4 (and potentially some Witcher 3 DLC), CD Projekt Red is taking its sweet time. Based on the footage we've seen so far, the sequel is incredibly ambitious, and following Cyberpunk 2077's rough launch, they need to get it right the first time.
But thanks to a new Nvidia blog, we have an idea of what enhancements The Witcher 4 might actually entail. Based on what we've seen, it sounds really great.
Based on information presented in the Nvidia blog, The Witcher 4 will support RTX Mega Geometry and Path Tracing on PC. While this doesn't sound impressive at first glance if you aren't aware of the tech, the results are astounding based on the video below presented by Nvidia.
Nvidia explains the partnership with The Witcher 4 developer upfront: "At GDC, we announced a collaboration with CD Projekt Red to integrate a new Nvidia RTX Mega Geometry foliage system into The Witcher 4, their massively anticipated open-world role-playing game."
