Rumors of a Fallout 3 remaster have been swirling for a while now, as calls from fans grow for a renewal of the 2008 RPG classic that, although still a brilliant example of the franchise, has definitely started to show its age.
The arrival of the excellent Oblivion Remastered has only deepened those calls further, as it showed exactly what can be done with some relatively minor changes and a new look, while additional rumors and leaks seemed to confirm that something was happening behind the scenes.
All of that culminated yesterday (March 11), when a seemingly unrelated announcement contained one small piece of information that all but confirms that the game is coming, and very soon at that.
In case you missed it, McFarlane Toys announced their upcoming product lines for the rest of the year, and amongst a ton of exciting physical releases, they included an item titled ELITE EDITION 7IN - FALLOUT 3 REMASTERED - #13 T-45B NUKA COLA.
It serves as comfortably the best bit of information we have had so far that the Fallout 3 remaster is real, as there simply isn't a world where a company as major as McFarlane Toys...
