Red Dead Redemption 2 Fans Slam New Free DLC From Rockstar Games

Red Dead Redemption 2 was an astounding game when it released back in 2018, and it's still pretty incredible if you go back and work through its immense story and world today.

At the same time, Red Dead Online continues to get monthly active support from the developer, with new content and cosmetics dropping all the time. That said, Rockstar's focus has very visibly shifted away from supporting Red Dead Redemption 2, and towards getting GTA VI into players' hands without any further delay.

Whilst that's totally understandable, it does make their relatively feeble efforts to keep the cowboy epic going all the more galling for what remains a hugely dedicated and significant fan base.

Over on Twitter, the official Rockstar account posted an update confirming the addition of a new community-inspired outfit, that makes your Red Dead Online character look like a detective. It's a nice cosmetic, but it's safe to say that fans weren't happy with that being the sum total of the developer's efforts for the time being, with many redoubling calls for a next-gen update for the game.
