Destiny 2 received a fresh patch this week. While the community is always eager for improvements, the latest arrival of update 9.5.5.5 has left many feeling underwhelmed during a particularly quiet period for the franchise. The Destiny 2 update's incredibly short list of changes has sparked a wave of frustration and dark humor among the remaining player base.

For years, the game has relied on a steady rhythm of expansions and updates to keep its dedicated players engaged. However, the title is currently dealing with a number of challenges, including record-low player counts that recently dipped to a peak of just 7,000 concurrent users on Steam. This represents a staggering 98% loss in players since the launch of The Edge of Fate expansion less than two years ago.
