Blizzard has released the patch notes for the first two Diablo 4 Season 12 hotfixes, targeting multiple issues that have affected players in the early days of the new season. These updates have already been pushed to the live version of Diablo 4, smoothing out some of the more frustrating issues in Season 12.
Diablo 4 Season 12, the Season of Slaughter, launched on March 11, 2026, giving players the ability to transform into The Butcher for the first time ever. Killstreaks make their return from Diablo 3, too. Blizzard has also made a few controversial changes, such as the nerfs to Diablo 4's World and Lair Boss XP in Season 12. However, the Season of Slaughter has been generally well-received by fans. Because the Lord of Hatred expansion is set to launch on April 28, Season 12 is expected to be slightly shorter than usual, which is why it doesn't feel as expansive as other recent seasons of the game.
