Uncharted 5's Lead Character Leaves Gamers Torn

The Uncharted series really is one of the more iconic franchises in gaming, particularly considering it doesn't have roots in the 80s and 90s as so many of the other big hitters do.

At the same time, the adventures of Nathan Drake really have put the character up there with the likes of Indiana Jones, a character he was so clearly designed to replicate in many ways.

That said, Drake's narrative does feel like it has been told at this point, with the character retiring and settling down to live a quiet life with Elena. As such, any further sequels would likely have to draw its protagonist from elsewhere, and whether that's someone we've seen before or someone entirely new, it's all a potential possibility.

Over on Reddit, one fan of the series asked the community who they would like to see as the protagonist of the next Uncharted game. As well as calls for Drake's daughter Cassie, who briefly appears in the epilogue of the last game, there were some other suggestions from players that really do sound interesting.
