While Cyberpunk 2077 has been available for the PlayStation 5 for a while now, CD Projekt Red has taken to Twitter/X to announce that it is working on a PS5 Pro update for the title. This update will be free and will take advantage of the extra power that the PS5 Pro affords.
With this news, Cyberpunk 2077 will join other games that have eventually received PS5 Pro updates, benefitting from higher frame rates, ray tracing, and improved upscaling through PSSR.
It’s also worth noting that this reveal was announced on the same day that the rollout for the newer version of PSSR, upgraded PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (called PSSR 2 by everyone else), is taking place.
Outside of the reveal, nothing else has been mentioned as of now. However, CD Projekt Red has stated that it will provide more info in the upcoming weeks.
