Despite its shortcomings, there is no denying that Hogwarts Legacy has its charm when it comes to its visuals. Showcasing Hogwarts in a whole new light, with the nearby bustling town of Hogsmeade and the sun-soaked Quidditch field, was no easy task, but it is one that Avalanche Software managed in the 2023 RPG.
However, thanks to the arrival of NVIDIA's brand-new AI-powered technological enhancement, titles such as Hogwarts Legacy are now welcoming a whole new look, and it is safe to say that fans have been left feeling divided over the major change.
Overnight, NVIDIA announced its DLSS 5 update, which includes "an AI-powered breakthrough in visual fidelity for games". Set to launch this fall, the DLSS 5 will infuse pixels with "photorealistic lighting and materials, bridging the gap between rendering and reality". Put simply, by using AI, previous titles such as Resident Evil Requiem, Starfield, EA Sports FC, and in this case, Hogwarts Legacy will now look a lot more realistic.
