The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt might have released all the way back in 2015, but its still a game that continues to draw in a lot of attention in 2026, particularly given the fact that studio CD Projekt Red is now heavily focused on getting the highly anticipated sequel into players hands as soon as possible.

Despite that, it was still quite surprising when news emerged that a fresh story expansion DLC was likely on the way for the game, some ten years after the release of the last one, Blood and Wine.

That said, we have very little in the way of actual concrete detail about what the DLC is actually going to be, other than it's designed to bridge the gap in story between the third game's narrative and the upcoming sequel. We also don't know when exactly we're going to get it, though recent revelations suggest it could be much sooner than some may have expected.
