The MMORPG with arguably the best combat, Lost Ark's future has been put into question today. This is something a lot of players have doomed over the last four years as they’ve seen the player base slowly dwindle due to overwhelming requirements to keep up.
This was an overwhelming game that is ranked in the top 10 for all-time peak concurrent players at nearly 1.4 million when it launched, but in 2026 it barely manages to keep over 10,000.
It didn’t help that the first couple of years were met with distrust for Amazon due to their lack of communication, among other things. Thankfully, 2025 was one of the better years for Lost Ark, featuring new, west-exclusive content and a feeling of being heard. It felt like Amazon was finally finding their footing.
