Pokémon Legends: Z-A had a very short time in the spotlight, but now it seems like it's caught in the middle of a generation. With the confirmation that Pokémon Champions will be the competitive format this year and the 2027 release window for Generation 10, it's not clear where the game stands currently.

For now, it seems like Z-A is already starting to wind down. But before that happens, there are a few more freebie promotions, including a linking campaign with Champions. According to the official Pokémon blog, there is a catch.

According to the game's official site, there's going to be a distribution event for Chesnaughtite, Delphoxite, Greninjite, and Floettite in Pokémon Champions. You can obtain these stones to trigger Mega Evolutions for the corresponding Pokémon, but you can't just earn them by booting up the app.

Instead, these Pokémon Champions items will be subject to time-limited exclusivity. If you want them, you'll need to bring those specific Pokémon over from Z-A. While the site hints at another distribution method "at a later date," that's all we have for now.
