NetEase Games reveals Season 7: The Hunt Is On for Marvel Rivals, bringing White Fox and Black Cat onto the game's massive roster of characters, along with new content and a massive balance update. After seeing a massive player revival last year during a unique PvE co-op event centered around Marvel Zombies, Marvel Rivals has continued to ride a wave of momentum leading into Season 6, which introduced Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone. Now, the studio has revealed part of its plans for Season 7.
New content isn't the only way that Marvel Rivals has continued to shine with its fanbase. NetEase has been fairly responsive in addressing issues and other concerns with its community. Recently, controversy and frustration erupted when it was discovered that some players were purposely throwing ranked matches to manipulate certain players from reaching certain rank levels. Naturally, this behavior is counter to what NetEase wants and with the "overwhelming amount of feedback" it received, Marvel Rivals introduced 2 key updates to counter this behavior, including a server-wide detection system and compensation for those who have been negatively impacted. In the meantime, Season 7 is on the brink of release.
