Steam Users Have Until March 21 to Snag a Gritty Police Game for Free and Keep It Forever

Steam often offers steep discounts via the storefront's Free to Keep promotions, but that's not the only way to claim a free game on the platform, with Police Stories now being free for a limited time. Steam users should act quickly because there are two key limitations: the deal expires on March 21 and the number of Steam Keys is limited. Once they are gone, they are gone.

Police Stories is a tactical top-down shooter, playable solo or in co-op, where players must neutralize criminals, rescue civilians, defuse bombs, and follow strict rules of engagement. Each run uniquely generates randomly placed criminals (from petty criminals to terrorists), hostages, and evidence, with players able to command their fellow cop and engage with a tightly tuned Surrender System. Players have access to a plethora of police equipment, from door blast charges and under-the-door cameras, to facilitate its tactical gameplay that is judged in real time by a point system. Players must have enough points to start the next mission, but aggression is not a factor.

The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation launches an investigation into several games confirmed to contain malware on Steam.
