Console exclusives often ebb and flow. While many studios aren't willing to forgo the profits from launching on Steam, some publishers opt to drop their games on PlayStation or Xbox.
In this case, it seems like a PlayStation 5 console-exclusive is making its way to Xbox. According to a leak spotted on Reddit, it could be happening pretty soon.
Released in mid-2024 by the studio Kuro Games, Wuthering Waves originally launched on PC and mobile before being ported to PS5 in January 2025. It plays very similarly to Genshin Impact, operating as a free-to-play gacha game set in an anime-inspired universe. This time around the world is a bit more bleak compared to Genshin, and there's a greater focus on action-oriented combat. It does enough to differentiate itself, and looks great to boot.
For the last year and change, it's been a PS5 console exclusive, but that's about to change.
