Described as a "recreation of the Mexican territory from Red Dead Redemption, completely expanded and enhanced", Red Dead Redemption 2: Forgotten Frontier is the Red Dead Redemption 2 mod that has got fans talking as its sheer scale is enough to perk up the ears of the most novice outlaw.
Created by Rixus724 over on Nexus Mods, the mod aims to bring Nuevo Paraiso (otherwise known as Mexico) to Red Dead Redemption 2, as you may remember it from John Marston's adventures in Red Dead Redemption.
Currently available to download in a work-in-progress state, Red Dead Redemption 2: Forgotten Frontier offers "new areas to explore, adapted mechanics, and a completely recreated world" with players able to "return to Mexico and rediscover how [sic] the state was like in the year 1907." Although fans were enjoying the WIP mod, development for Forgotten Frontier was paused back in November, but now, its mod team is happy to reveal that the project has got their full attention once more.
