First released back in 2016 as the third and final installment in the Dark Souls trilogy as we know it, Dark Souls 3 is the only entry to not have received a remaster in recent years. However, with the Dark Souls trilogy celebrating its 15th anniversary later this year, fans are hoping that FromSoftware will finally bring Dark Souls 3 to even greater heights.

Now, according to a recent report, FromSoftware is indeed "deep into development" on an unannounced game alongside The Duskbloods, which launches later this year, as well as continued support for Elden Ring Nightreign. So could this unannounced title be a Dark Souls 3 remaster?

With Dark Souls celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, with Dark Souls III also celebrating its 10th, it is a big year for the hit FromSoftware franchise as a whole. Thanks to previous work from FromSoftware, both Dark Souls and Dark Souls II have already welcomed new-and-improved versions, but 2016's Dark Souls III still awaits its modern-day makeover.
