Paper Zelda Is The RPG Spinoff We've Been Dreaming Of

There's something about The Legend of Zelda that lends itself to a huge variety of styles. From the Toon Link appearance of The Wind Waker to the more anime-like Breath of the Wild, not to mention, of course, the classic 8-bit look, Zelda has frequently tried different artistic approaches. One style it hasn't used yet is the whimsical Paper Mario approach, although one talented fan of the series has shown just how perfect this could be.

In a parody trailer by Studio 64 Bits on YouTube, the classic format of The Legend of Zelda games meets the charm of Paper Mario game mechanics and art style. Although this wonderfully crafted parody was created five years ago, it has recently been making the rounds again online, and hopefully, this time Nintendo will take notice.

In the trailer, Studio 64 Bits includes a variety of scenes from different Zelda games, reimagined in the aesthetic of the colorful paper-thin art style.
