The release of Fallout 5 is still a very long time away, with almost all of Bethesda Entertainment's focus on getting The Elder Scrolls VI into the hands of the public as quickly as possible, which is understandable given that Skyrim released all the way back in 2011.
Until then, we're going to have to get our fill of the post-apocalypse in other ways, and one of the best approaches to that is to simply go back and play the older games. That said, you can't be blamed for having explored every little nook and cranny that those releases have to offer already, but that's where the franchise's extensive modding community comes into play.
