Bandai Namco has unveiled a new Digimon game, titled Digimon Up, which is set to launch sometime in 2026 on supported mobile devices. The upcoming Digimon mobile title will allow players to raise, battle, and power up their digital partners, and Digivolve them all the way from a Digi-Egg to a Mega form in the process.
Throughout the Digimon franchise, one of the core tenets of the series has been about the bond between a Digimon and its human partners. However, this bond has to be nurtured not only through battles, but also by feeding and caring for the Digimon in question. This playstyle first appeared in the Digital Monster virtual pet lineup, and was also a key component of the 1999 PlayStation title Digimon World. Over time, the Digimon game series has carved a niche as one of Bandai Namco's more popular RPGs, with Digimon Story: Time Stranger being a successful example. Time Stranger's success led to Bandai Namco confirming that a large-scale DLC will launch in 2027.
