Pokémon has had a stacked 2026 already, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the franchise and announcing the upcoming Gen 10 Winds and Waves games. We've also gotten releases of FireRed and LeafGreen on Switch, as well as confirmation that GameCube spin-offs like Pokémon Colosseum are releasing on Nintendo Switch Online. However, a teaser over the weekend left a number of fans confused.
Pokémon celebrated the release of Pokémon Colosseum over the weekend by sharing a short video teaser on X, in which footage of the game plays on a box TV. A poster for Pokémon: The Movie 3 is on the wall behind the TV, completing the feeling of nostalgia for that year. And hearing the game's music makes it even better. "We're taking it back to 2004! Pokémon Colosseum released on this day for the Nintendo GameCube system," reads the original post.
It seems like just about everyone is baffled over why Pokémon would celebrate the game's anniversary without releasing it on NSO, especially considering we know it's coming to Nintendo Switch Online at some point this year.
