In the final months in the run-up to the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games has found itself in hot water once again following an investigation by His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), the tax department of the UK government. Spotted by the Daily Mirror, the report reveals that Rockstar was one of 389 companies who owed a substantial amount of money to its employees, and as a result, are facing harsh penalties. Could this mean another delay is inevitable for Grand Theft Auto VI?

Set to launch on 19 November 2026, Grand Theft Auto VI has cemented itself as the most anticipated video game release of all time. With it having been over a decade since the last entry, Grand Theft Auto V, was released, it is safe to say that fans are eager to get stuck into Rockstar's latest project. However, with yet another scandal under its belt, it remains to be seen how this will affect GTA VI's future.
