That said, Pawprint Studio are bringing a game to PlayStation that looks worthy of a second glance. A cute open world RPG with a focus on creature capture and exploration? Wait...isn't that Pokémon?
With no official release date yet, we're very much in the dark about when Aniimo is coming out. They have recently completed their second closed beta of the game so it's safe to say that it's coming very soon. Visually, the game seems to have taken heavy inspiration from Palworld and Infinity Nikki, and we're all hoping that this one slips under Nintendo's lawyers' radar. Best of all, a recent press release confirms that Aniimo is coming to PS5!
No PlayStation Plus subscription needed. Aniimo will be free to play for all PS5 owners when it launches. We've seen plenty of free-to-play games with gacha elements, but recently there's been a batch of really worthwhile free-to-play games that are definitely worth checking out.
