The arrival of the Fallout TV adaptation on Prime Video did a lot to resurrect positivity around the franchise and bring in a whole raft of new fans who now want to see everything the games and wider experiences have to offer.
We know we're not getting a sequel for a long while yet, with almost all of Bethesda's attention focused on getting The Elder Scrolls VI out as soon as possible. That leaves the older games to go back to and enjoy, most of which hold up pretty well if you give them the chance.
If you want the most modern experience, then Fallout 4 is probably for you. Outright, savage and unending bleakness? Fallout 3 is the obvious choice. If you're simply looking for the best of the bunch, then a lot of the community would probably point to New Vegas. If the latter is a personal favorite, there is a new physical version launching soon that will likely be well worth your consideration.
