Star Wars Outlaws is an unfortunate casualty of multiple circumstances, such as its release during a low point in Star Wars fandom (all it truly had going for it was the enduring Andor: A Star Wars Story hype) and longstanding criticisms about how Ubisoft's open-world games are typically designed, and a planned sequel was reportedly canceled thereafter. However, players who do enjoy the game have become more vocal about wanting a Star Wars Outlaws 2 that may never come.

On Reddit, user Spardath01 has been hoping that other fans of the game will rally behind them and sign an online petition to have their voices heard, in hopes of securing the sequel's release. It is highly unlikely that this petition will turn out to significantly alter the doomed fate of Star Wars Outlaws, but it is heartwarming to see so many gamers defending what is legitimately a solid Star Wars game, even if you are not enthusiastic about its combat or stealth sequences.
