Fortnite has been making changes to its economy, and the number of V-Bucks being distributed in the monthly Crew Pack will drop soon. So, even though it's a free-to-play game, players can use this currency to customize their gaming experience to their liking.

The price of V-Bucks has changed a couple of times over the years, which has been somewhat controversial among the community. Recently, Epic Games announced that it would not be changing the price of V-Buck packs, but they would grant considerably less in-game currency. This phenomenon is known as shrinkflation, and it is a tactic used to attempt to raise the price of a product without causing too much commotion in the community, as it doesn't sound as bad as a price increase.
