Hogwarts Legacy Fans Campaign To "Save" Sequel Following Official Announcement

Back in 2024, Warner Bros. Games announced that the hit Harry Potter-inspired RPG, Hogwarts Legacy, would be receiving a sequel with developer Avalanche Software back at the helm. With the first game meeting critical acclaim and even going on to become the best-selling game of 2023, the news of a sequel came as no surprise, but since its announcement, details surrounding the project have remained scarce, even when Warner Bros. found itself in a major acquisition deal.

As such, we know next to nothing about the Hogwarts Legacy sequel, but one 2025 job listing still has fans reeling as it suggests Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be a live-service title.

Despite Hogwarts Legacy offering us a magical single-player RPG experience, it seems as though Warner Bros. has bigger plans for its sequel. This comes after a job listing posted on the Warner Bros. website back in December 2025 revealed that it was looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a "new online multiplayer RPG."
