Zelda's First Official 40th Anniversary Game Isn't What We Expected

The Legend of Zelda turned 40 earlier this year, but 2026 has been fairly quiet for the series so far. While fans are hopeful the leaks regarding an Ocarina of Time remake are true, we at least have official confirmation that another release is headed our way this year. The thing is, it's not really the kind of game we expected, even though it is pretty cool.

If you were expecting to see Wind Waker HD or Twilight Princess HD coming to Switch 2, or simply wanted to see some older Zelda titles releasing on Nintendo Switch Online, then you may be disappointed. While I'm sure we'll get a new Legend of Zelda video game at some point, the upcoming release is a 3D puzzle kind of game from Huzzle, with a trailer on YouTube showing off the latest designs.

The one we're most excited about is the puzzle showing Addison with his Hudson Construction sign. Solving Hudson Construction sign puzzles in Tears of the Kingdom was a huge (and memorable) part of that game, so it's really cool to see this IRL version giving us the chance to help Addison once more.
